WHAT IS RED SAUCE PASTA RECEIPE ?

                simple and delicious red sauce pasta recipe




  • 200g pasta (penne, spaghetti, or your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 ripe tomatoes (blended or use 1 can of crushed tomatoes)
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste (optional for a richer flavor)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar (to balance the acidity of the tomatoes)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil (or fresh if available)
  • Chili flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Boil the pasta: In a large pot, boil salted water and cook your pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. Prepare the sauce:

    • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until it's soft and translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
    • Toss in the minced garlic and cook for another minute, stirring continuously. You’ll smell that amazing garlic aroma filling the kitchen!
  3. Add the tomatoes:

    • Pour in the blended tomatoes (or canned) and stir. Add the tomato paste if you’re using it for extra richness.
    • Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar to balance out the tartness of the tomatoes.
    • Sprinkle in the oregano and basil, and if you're in the mood for a bit of spice, a dash of chili flakes.
  4. Simmer the sauce:

    • Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. You want it to thicken slightly and develop a deep, flavorful taste.



   



  1. Mix in the pasta:

    • Add your cooked pasta directly into the pan with the sauce and toss until the pasta is fully coated with the beautiful red sauce. Let it cook together for a minute to absorb the flavors.
  2. Serve and garnish:

    • Plate your red sauce pasta and top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Add some fresh basil leaves for that finishing touch.

Optional:

You can also add sautéed veggies like bell peppers or mushrooms, or even toss in some cooked chicken or shrimp for added protein.
